Thank you to the Two Writing Teachers
for hosting the 9th Annual SOLSC
A few weeks back, a colleague was on the hunt for a new read aloud. I asked if she'd read The One and Only Ivan. She shared that she hadn't yet. I gave her my copy of the book to borrow. She read it to her fifth graders. Today, I got the book back in my mailbox with a note of thanks about how they liked it. I'm so grateful to share the wonder of books with others. Books are blessings! What's your latest favorite?
I just got a book back that I had loaned also--Love That Dog by Sharon Creech. It's one of my all-time favorites. The note said: Thank you! This book is a treasure! I agree that it is so fun to share favorite books. The One and Only Ivan is also one of those treasures.

ReplyDeleteGreat book. I understand the thank you note. Sharing feels good. I recently read Cornelia Funke's Princess Pigsty and Pirate Girl as read aloud.
