A few weeks ago, I shared about Natalie being fitted for modeling a line of clothes created by a Kent State Student for her fashion design merchandising class.  Natalie had a ball playing with her friend Justin during the fitting that day.  This past Saturday was part 2 with Fashion and Friends.  It was photo shoot day!

We woke up and got ready early as we had to be at Rockwell Hall by 9.  The children got their hair done first.  I was so thankful that the teachers decided not to do make-up for the little ones.  Then, the kids got dressed and ready to head over to the photo shoot area.  The sky was sunny and bright and it cast beautiful natural light into the hall.  Two of the students mainly in charge of organizing the kids and keeping them cheery did a great job of being patient with these little ones.  They did some group photos first and then did individual shots.

All of the little kids were darling and the outfits Melissa created fit them just so.  I am still amazed that she started with an idea and brought it to life by drawing, coloring, tailoring and stitching.  I really liked the detail of the knitting Melissa added which brought a gentle softness to the clothes.  Natalie had a great time while she modeled the sweet outfit but I think the part she liked best was being with her friends!

  1. What a fun thing for kids to participate in both the little ones and the older ones learning the design! Photos are so cute.

  4. How fun! I at first was thinking you were heading down the Toddlers and Tiara's route - then I remembered the writer - and the family - and knew the post was about smiles and happy memories for ALL.
