Celebrate and Bake a Cake

Slice 7 of 31
#sol15
#celebratelu
for the Slice of Life Challenge
(writing & posting your slice) every day for the month of March
Thanks to Stacey, Tara, Anna, Beth, Betsy and Dana
for hosting!

Thanks to Ruth Ayers for also hosting Celebration Saturday!

This week I celebrate learning!
Monday-learning about jury duty
Tuesday-learning about how kids love to play Kahoot.it
Wednesday-learning about how trials work, questions, evidence and the like
Thursday-learning about other slicers
Friday-learning how juries go through deliberation
Saturday-learning about your celebrations

Also on Saturday, we'll be celebrating Kevin's (my hubby) birthday (even though it's really Sunday).  He told me this year he wants a chocolate chocolate cake...I went to the store yesterday on the way home from jury duty (which finally ended) and picked up the ingredients to make the cake.  I plan on making the double layer cake with chocolate frosting in the middle and outside.  I am going to bake in the morning, and frost and decorate by afternoon.  Natalie insists on helping so we'll dawn our aprons and get to baking...bake a cake!

I will add pictures as we go-a rolling slice and celebration...so check back for more sometime soon!

  12. Some of my best childhood memories revolve around baking with my mother. I think those "small moments" are some of the best to choose to write about. Thanks for sharing your "celebrations"!
