Coffee Love

Slice of Life Story Challenge

Coffee Love

Arriving from the retail outlet

opened with pleasure

taken out of the box

Finding a space to do the work

refreshed with tasty water

choosing a flavor

pumping it up

turning cold to boiling

bubbling into the k-cup

hot and steamy

dripping into the ceramic mug

the smell of caramel filling the air

wrapping cold hands around the warm cup

a chance to relax

warmth needed

pouring in the creamer

no sugar added

sweet as can be

just for one

coffee love...

  1. My cup this morning did not look as festive, but Keurig provided. Kudos to you for being creative and making into a poem!

  3. Someone at school just bought a Keurig for the staff. It is much loved, Amy, just as you so lovingly described!

  9. I share your coffee/ Keurig love. I couldn't figure out what the big deal was until one arrived at school then shortly after to my kitchen. Where inspired by you (and even though it is evening)I feel compelled to brew a cup RIGHT NOW! :)

  10. I love your coffee love. This is a moment I treasure each day. Even though lately I have been grabbing it and drinking it in the car on the way to drop off my daughter at school. I would rather take five minutes to sit and take in the morning with some deep breaths, a prayer, and some gratitude! Tomorrow morning I'll try to make it happen. Thanks for the reminder.
