Celebrating Moments

Won't you join us this week?

Celebrations and Christmas week?  What could be better?  Our whole week has been full of celebration!

One.
Finally having the house decorated with all the trimmmings (the tree, stockings, mantle, wreathes, and lights!).  My favorite bubble lights flanked the stove and the sink...I couldn't help but think of my grandma every time I looked at them.  I felt like her spirit was present with us on Christmas Day when we were all working to put the Christmas dinner together.  It was a twinkle moment...

Two.
Watching the kids patiently observe each other as they opened their gifts from Santa.  They were cherishing the time together.  It was a loving moment...

Three.
Inspiring, cooking, washing and cleaning up together-for my family's Christmas celebration!  We had a great time.  We ate quite a feast, played board games (a monopoly game that lasted 3 hours and finished at 11:20pm), opened gifts, and sampled cookies and desserts.  A special thank you to my sisters-in-law, and mom who all chipped in to make and contribute goodies and yummies for the feast.  Thanks to my dad too as he cut up all the veggies. It was full of happy moments...
Joyce, me, Mom, and Audrey- "Merry Cookmas"
Four.
Cleaning up and recovering...I must celebrate my husband who rolled up his sleeves and went to work with me to clean up the house and get it back in shape the day after Christmas.  We had to get it ready to celebrate with his parents as well.  Thank you to them for a wonderful Christmas too.  It was a helpful moment.

Five.
Time to relax...with all of the busyness leading up to Christmas, I am now celebrating the time to relax and chill out.  It was a reflective moment...and I think my one little word has found me too Ruth!

Happy celebrating this week everyone!

  4. What greater blessing to give thanks for at a family gathering than the family and the gathering. ~ Robert Brault

  9. Holidays - getting ready, celebrating, cleaning up - are much more enjoyable when there are people around who work and play together. Enjoy your time to relax. Looking forward to hearing what OLW you chose.
