  1. Very clever! I love the night noises spring brings. I heard a few more birds yesterday, but the true harbingers of spring, the peepers, haven't made a peep! Thanks for sharing, Amy!

  2. There's something about spring that brings a brief intense sense that life is on the verge of something ineffable--exciting. I thought I would not experience it in the tropics where the weather is the same every day--except for what time it rains during the rainy season. But the other day--right on schedule--a glimmer of hope. That opening of your chest. Spring!

  4. Spine poetry is so much fun. I remember doing some of these last April. Looking through my book shelves, making selections love it! Night noises are the best when you don't have to get up early and you can just listen to the hum of the season.

    1. Yes, especially love sleeping with the windows open for the first time after the cold winter...hearing the noises is a sure sign that new life is bursting

  6. Great poem! I am getting ready to study my shelves and create my own poem for this year. Have you sent this into 100 Scope Notes for his April gallery?

  9. What a great poem. I really am looking forward to spring this year. Yet I wish we had more moisture. We've had 3 fires in the area.
