I am so excited! I finally got to set-up my classroom blog to go with my new classroom at Robinson CLC. I am looking foward to working with this new group of First Graders this year. I can't thank the Robinson staff enough for making me feel so welcome. I am especially grateful for my new colleagues in First Grade, Lori and Megan, who've already offered so many helpful ideas and suggestions after our first days of professional development last week.
I know this is going to be an awesome year of learning and growing as a teacher. I know there are many things that will be new learning for me (implementing the Daily 5, CAFE, on-line gradebook system, tweeting and blogging with students, being an impact network building-just to name a few). I just have to remember to take baby steps and learn that I need to keep the big picture in mind, but also take one day at a time. I know everything will come together.
I feel blessed to have this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these students. I am ready for the new adventure. We set sail on Monday-August 27-2012!
